February 2017 Changes in Version

Optimizations in the cache engine and I/O Architecture deliver a 30 to 50% performance gain in storage benchmarks. Improvements have been made to License management which allows License Key deactivation and Multiple Activation keys. It is now possible to install this update without explicitly removing any older version. General bug fixing and software maintenance completes this list of important changes to the software MaxVeloSSD. The software was tested extensively on low to high end machines. It has proven to run error free and stable for long times in low memory and high cpu load environments.

November 24 2016 Changes in Version

Thoroughly tested with newest Microsoft Windows OS. Allows for bigger SSD and RAM Caching than before, resulting in more caching power for the same price. The Product Activation Section was updated. This Version allows to pin files and Directories into Cache. Introducing the new WarpOver™ technology architecture. Finally the cache engine has been updated to be more robust in low memory conditions.

August 5 2016 Changes in Version

The parallel performance control enables users to adjust the number of threads ( simultaneous executions of the cache engine ). The new “Freemium” Edition runs free forever and replaces the former “Trial” Mode which was limited to 30 days.

September 15 2015 Changes in Version

Thoroughly tested under Windows 10. Bugs with multiple cache Data Volumes removed. Bugs in the Cache engine were removed. Bugs with recovery after power loss were removed. Recovery is now quicker, especially when the write cache is filled up. Earlier versions needed to write the Write Cache back completely before boot. That could result in frustrating long boot times. Internal corruption due Power loss / reset occurred every once and a while. This is fixed. If an internal on disk structure is corrupted ( possible write error while loosing power ) fallback failover recognizes and replaces it.

July 27 2015 Changes in Version

Restart after power off / reset was reworked and will restore the Volumes State transaction safe in no time at the next startup. There is no Data loss or loss of Transaction safety. The system is restored to the state it had 0 to 10 seconds before the power off. Other small changes enhance quality of service of cache. The Cache engine was optimized to handle really big Volumes (up to 2 Petabyte ). There is no RAM memory overhead involved. Compared to earlier Versions the RAM usage in relation to Host Volume size was reduced by more than 95%. This is possible with our advanced caching algorithms that do not use “Cache Lines” or “Bitmaps” any longer. Reacting on public demand, we added “Write Through” and “Scan Resistant” Operating Modes to the Cache engine. The Application was extended to allow user changes and settings to these new Cache Modes. Please see the new Chapter: ”Scan Resist and Write Through”. The Software will run in all popular Virtual Machines. It exposes complete functionality with Pass through Disks and Virtual Disks. No restrictions. The Software implements S.M.A.R.T Services for Host and Cache Disks. It will warn the users if the Hardware is problematic. The Cache engine uses a new Read/Write Lock Algorithm that performs better than before. This is for peak performance. Several other changes improve stability and behavior after power loss / Reset.

February 26 2015 Changes in Version

Added a feature that loads the cache with any Folder. Minimizes Cache heat up/ramp up time drastically. More about this in the Chapter “Load Folders in Cache”. This version adds also a chart control to the application. It allows precise visualization of IOPS/MBPS. Cache Hit/Miss and Data export in XML. There is also a chapter about Charting in this book. Support for Cache on Software RAID SSD Volumes was overworked. Windows 10 Preview compatibility was added.
